Housing Land Supply Assessment

We are the Scottish market leader in assessing if a local authority is maintaining a five year effective housing land supply at all times, as well as demonstrating whether the proposed housing strategy of a Local Development Plan will meet housing land requirement in full.

All work is produced in accord with policy requirements of the approved development plan as well as taking account of material considerations set out in Scottish Planning Policy and national guidance.

The level of detail provided can be adjusted to support the necessary particulars of the case, providing an appropriate level of detail in relation to the stage in the planning process – supporting a Planning Permission in Principle application or new housing land allocation in a Local Development Plan.

These assessments are supported by DPEA Reporters at both Planning Appeal and Local Development Plan Examination. Recent successes resulting in the release of further housing sites include City of Edinburgh, North Lanarkshire, Stirling and West Lothian.
